Visiting the Rosendal area is an experience in itself. Blue skies, beautiful green blooming valleys, the Hardanger Fjord and towering mountains flowing with waterfalls and topped with pure white snow - unbelievable to the eyes, but nonetheless very beautiful and real. It is no coincidence that the newly wed Rosenkranz's built their castle here in 1665.
Baroniet Rosendal, Kvinnherad Kyrkje from 1255, Steinparken, Skaaluren-samlinga (ship building museum), the National Park Center and Ænes Laksepark are wonderful experiences. Galleries and exhibitions as well, together with great musical concerts. More information at Rosendal Turistservice.
